Toronto Canteen Roasted Red Pepper Hummus with a warm orange-red colour

Saucery

Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

A little smoky, a little sweet, entirely addictive.

This hummus starts with the same base as the classic: dried chickpeas soaked overnight, cooked until tender, blended with quality tahini and olive oil until impossibly smooth. Then roasted red peppers go in, charred until their skins blister and the natural sugars caramelise into something smoky and sweet.

The red pepper changes the personality of the hummus completely. It adds a warmth and a subtle sweetness that balances the nuttiness of the tahini. The colour shifts to a warm orange-red, and the aroma when you open the jar is different from anything else in the Saucery range.

This is the hummus for people who want something a little more interesting without straying too far from what they know. It pairs beautifully with grilled bread, crudites, or honestly just a spoon straight from the jar. No preservatives, no fillers, just good ingredients treated with respect.

What makes it different

  • Fire-roasted red peppers
  • Dried chickpeas, not canned
  • Quality tahini and olive oil
  • Smoky and naturally sweet
  • Zero preservatives
